Past patches of the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force

The Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force came into existence in the early eighties. The original name of the unit was The Northern Kentucky Narcotic Enforcement Unit. The basis for jurisdiction in the original tri-county area of Boone, Kenton, and Campbell Count ies  was an innovative inter-local agreement between the three counties. In 2001 Grant County join ed  in the inter-local agreement to facilitate their involvement in the Strike Force. In 2002 the Newport Police Department and Erlanger Police Department joined the strike force followed b y  the Florence Police Department in 2004. The Strike Force is governed by a board of directors consisting of law enforcement, local prosecutors, and administrative representatives from the involved counties. The goal of the Strike Force has always been to work cooperatively with all police agencies and community groups to perform the best possible drug enforcement in the Northern Kentucky area. This web page is designed to further this goal through information and communication.
